Living with Aging Older Parents - |
|
Tennessee - Both my mother and my mother-in-law have moved in with us. Those ladies keep me running. We installed a stair lift for them so now at least we don't have to worry about them going up and down stairs anymore. Thanks for the info on your site. It's nice to not feel so isolated. |
Missouri - My daughter and her family bought a house with me, then her husband got transferred to another state for work. Now I'm stuck with a large house I can't sell - much less take care of. I'm looking for a roommate to share expenses. |

Pennsylvania - I feel good that we were able to move my dad in with us. It is not always easy for everyone, but it's better than a nursing home. I like the idea of taking breaks from each other, but with a positive spin on it. |
Georgia - I think it is good for my kids to grow up with their grandparents around. No more empty house when they get home from school now. |
Florida - My mom moved in to help with the baby while I work. We sold both of our homes and now have a big beautiful home we all share. It is working out well for all of us, especially with the economy so tight. I couldn't pay for child care, plus my daughter will get to know her grandmother. |
